Swamp Dash and Bash

I ran a 4 mile obstacle course mud run, called the Swamp Dash and Bash, with a former gymnastics teammate of mine. It had 20 obstacles spread out over the 4 miles of hills and woods. It was a lot of fun and I'll definitely do a similar type of run again, although I would like find a more challenging one! Out of 20 obstacles I only think 4 were somewhat challenging for me and I was easily able to complete most of them. Also, there was not enough mud!! But like I said, it was still TONS of fun and I am glad I was able to participate in it!  Here is a link to the pictures the professional photographer took, scroll to the bottom and "click for more pictures", then search for my number 1575 (PS, recognize the person at the top of the linked page?! ha).
Here are the pics Kevin took(Kevin amazingly took some of these while running ahead of us up a hill with Karis on his back!! SO awesome of him :) ):

Did I mention she is 22 weeks pregnant?!

In Open Fields of Wild Flowers

I was out on a run and passed by a beautiful field of wild flowers. It was gorgeous, especially the way the sun was hitting it. I love the little reminders of beauty in life, and how God loves us. It reminds me of this Jars of Clay song.  So I stopped to smell the roses, err, take pictures of Karis in the field. The pictures aren't great since our camera sucks, but oh well. I am glad I stopped, even though it totally interrupted my run and even after Karis and me got attacked by these ginormous ants. It's the little things on life ♥
