Just Keep Swimming...

I wanted to share some videos of Karis in the pool! These were taken at a friend's birthday party with our GoPro camera. It's the first time we've used the camera for something other than strapping it to a car during a race and I think we are hooked! Such a fun video. We will definitely be using it more, and next time we'll know how to make a better video (like wiping the water off the lens, oops!). Hope you enjoy her pure joy of playing in the water; swimming is by far her favorite pastime!

One Year Photos

Karis is almost 14 months and I still haven't posted her 12 month update or about her party. Eeek! Guess I need to find time and energy to get those written and posted soon, before I start forgetting details. In the meantime, here is an easy but fun post of her 1 year old photos, taken by the amazing Amanda of Minus the Tail Photography.  She is not smiling in many of them, but she does not freely give smiles so I think her personality was captured beautifully ♥

Swamp Dash and Bash

I ran a 4 mile obstacle course mud run, called the Swamp Dash and Bash, with a former gymnastics teammate of mine. It had 20 obstacles spread out over the 4 miles of hills and woods. It was a lot of fun and I'll definitely do a similar type of run again, although I would like find a more challenging one! Out of 20 obstacles I only think 4 were somewhat challenging for me and I was easily able to complete most of them. Also, there was not enough mud!!
