In Open Fields of Wild Flowers
I was out on a run and passed by a beautiful field of wild flowers. It was gorgeous, especially the way the sun was hitting it. I love the little reminders of beauty in life, and how God loves us. It reminds me of this Jars of Clay song. So I stopped to smell the roses, err, take pictures of Karis in the field. The pictures aren't great since our camera sucks, but oh well. I am glad I stopped, even though it totally interrupted my run and even after Karis and me got attacked by these ginormous ants. It's the little things on life ♥
11 Months
I have been slacking with Karis's updates! I missed her 10 month update and now she is almost 11 1/2 months, oops! Life sure is hectic with a pretoddler ;)
Some of the things she is doing:
Easily stands using only one hand and will let go for 3 seconds before she sits down.
Is always talking, using real sounds and combinatin of sounds to form "words" rather than just babbling. She has even picked up on tone inflections and for some reason hearing her do this is the cutest thing to me.
She frequently repeats words we say.
Knows the meaning of several words, and my favorite is asking her what says "woof" or what says "meow" and watching her look at the correct animal.
She waves, claps, is learning high fives and blowing kisses.
Reads her books to herself...SO cute!
Tries to brush her hair with a brush.
She eats a good variety of food, and loves drinking water from her sippy cup.
Has 4 teeth now, and is working on 4 more (2 are visible just under the surface).
She loves playing with blocks and balls and cups.
When you ask her what a rooster says she makes the cockadoodledoo sound!!!
Is creeping around furniture and walking with a push walker
