London Send-Off Party for Brittany

My friend and former gymnastics and diving teammate, Brittany Viola,  just made it to the Olympics for 10m platform diving! She was 1 of 2 women who made the US team for the platform. Her mom threw her a London send-off party at Planet Hollywood in Orlando. I, along with other former teammates, was invited to attend. It was a BLAST getting together some of my old teammates...we have been through so much together-literally blood, sweat, and tears (yes, LOTS of  tears!!)- ,and spent countless hours together at practice and competitions, and we will always be like family to each other! And of course being able to see and congratulate Britt before she heads off to her 31 day Olympics trip to London was very special. karis tagged along also and I was surprised with how well she did! Everyone loved her, of course ;)   Lots of luck to Brittany and the rest of Team USA!

Just Keep Swimming...

I wanted to share some videos of Karis in the pool! These were taken at a friend's birthday party with our GoPro camera. It's the first time we've used the camera for something other than strapping it to a car during a race and I think we are hooked! Such a fun video. We will definitely be using it more, and next time we'll know how to make a better video (like wiping the water off the lens, oops!). Hope you enjoy her pure joy of playing in the water; swimming is by far her favorite pastime!

One Year Photos

Karis is almost 14 months and I still haven't posted her 12 month update or about her party. Eeek! Guess I need to find time and energy to get those written and posted soon, before I start forgetting details. In the meantime, here is an easy but fun post of her 1 year old photos, taken by the amazing Amanda of Minus the Tail Photography.  She is not smiling in many of them, but she does not freely give smiles so I think her personality was captured beautifully ♥
